We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Cloud Engineer to join our team in Reston, Virginia to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior DevOps leader focused on driving software modernization, meeting client challenges, innovation, and talent development.
Apply technology and innovation to multiple client spaces with a specific focus on modern software development practices and technologies, including Agile, DevOps, Cloud, containers, and microservices.
Provide technical thought leadership based on industry trends and drive relevant innovations to scale the firm’s digital capabilities and solutions.
Provide advisory services to support delivery programs including hands-on full stack engineering development on projects, coaching and helping delivery teams to adapt this a part of their development life cycle.
Understanding of the DevOps tooling landscape and has experience integrating various DevOps tools together to provide end to end application lifecycle management.
Review coding done to advance application upgrade, extension, or other development.
Analyze application for data integrity issues. Develop test protocols or plan for testing revised application and review test results.
Serve as project lead or lead technical staff in course of application development project
May mentor less experienced technical staff; may use high end development tools to assist or facilitate development process. Development of automated solutions to monitor and support our software development and release processes.
Lead a team(s) of DevOps engineers who automate & build release pipelines, infrastructure and cloud platforms used across businesses and customers
Contribute to shaping and updating DevOps strategy by evaluating new technologies and platforms
Manage end to end availability, security, and performance of mission-critical DevOps practices
Embed security control design, implementation and testing into DevOps practices
Drive process improvements for the design, development and delivery of applications to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of DevOps team and solutions
Drive systems engineering design and recovery by minimizing manual involvement and leading continuous improvements that create an operating environment that includes dynamically monitoring, alerting, and automated self-healing and recovery
Lead by example, care for customer team, and establish credibility with quality of your own and your teams technical execution
Own the day-to-day health, uptime, monitoring, and reliability of services
Lead, own, model and drive DevOps culture and behaviors
Practice and enforce Agile, Kanban and Scrum methodologies

Deploy Tools: Atlassian Jira, Chef (or Maven), Chef, Jenkins, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Test tools: Selenium, Apache JMeter, BlazeMeter, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
Operate tools: New Relic, Atlassian HipChat, Atlassian Jira
Requirements

REQUIRED:
US Citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance.
Experience AWS, Cloud Foundry
10+ years of experience with designing, developing, and leading software development and technology transformation projects
10+ years of experience with Java architecture, design and development, including experience with Spring, Hibernate, or equivalent
10+ years of experience with services, including middle–tier, microservices, or Web services design, development, and operations
Advanced understanding of DevOps tools including VSTS, Jenkins, Urban Code, Bamboo, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Artifactory, Sonatype, kubernetes
Experience with programming and infrastructure automation (e.g. Python, Shell, Java, and JSON).
Capable of technical deep dives into infrastructure, databases, and applications as needed, yet cognitively agile enough to have strategy discussions with leadership
7+ years of experience with Web APIs, including RESTful or JSON design, development, and operations
Experience working with DBA's or directly configuring application databases
Expert using tools such as Atlassian Confluence, JIRA
5+ years of experience with leading high–performing development teams
4+ years of experience with Cloud computing and open source solutions
5+ years of experience with DevOps and delivery pipelines
2+ years of experience with the containerization and deployment of Docker, Docker Datacenter, and Cloud solutions or equivalent, including CloudFoundry and Kubernetes
Experience with developing and driving cross–cutting capabilities or solutions
Experience with Cloud program shaping and capture
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Docker
Ability to be well–versed in modern software development techniques, methods, and technologies
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with various DevSecOps tools including (At least one per category desired):
Entire Microsoft Team Foundation Server suite
Agile Project Management (eg. Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Rally)
Build automation (e.g. Maven, Gradle, Ant)
Continuous Integration tools (e.g. Jenkins, Travis, Bamboo)
Testing tools (e.g. Junit, Selenium, jMeter)
Code quality tools (e.g. Sonar, Cast, Coverity)
Static scanning (Contrast, Veracode, Fortify)
Deployment automation (e.g. Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt)
Source Code Configuration Management repository (GitHub, BitBucket)
Binary repositories (Artifactory, Nexus)
ChatOps (HipChat, VictorOps, PagerDuty, Slack)
Application Performance Monitoring (eg New Relic, AppDynamics, DynaTrace)
Application platforms (OpenShift, Cloud Foundry)
Container/scheduler platforms such as docker, docker enterprise edition, mesosphere, kubernetes or AWS Blox

Education / Security Clearance

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
