The Office Assistant reports to the Executive Director as well as the Board of Directors. This position may also report to the Development Director on fundraising related tasks and The Community Relations Director on education and kidney screening related tasks. The Office Assistant’s goal is to provide support to the Office Staff while also being responsible for the successful execution of any Kidney Foundation meeting or event. This position will provide a positive representation of the organization to the public and renal community.
For Office Support: Process timely acknowledgements for all memorial contributions and turn those in on completion to the Executive Director. Assist the Development Director with all event inventories. Assist the Community Relations Director with all PEED and education inventories. Be the first point of contact to the public while in the office. Assist with the organizations website and social media presence. Assist the office staff with an out of office errands. The Office Assistant should also be cross-trained in all aspects of the organization to be familiar with all organizational functions. Remain flexible on the tasks that come with an ever-changing environment.
Schedule changes weekly and is flexible. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required due to organizational activities and fundraisers. Travel costs will be reimbursed.
Nonprofit board, volunteer, or committee experience is a plus. Event planning experience is suggested but not required. Must be willing to work in a pet friendly environment.
