EXPERIENCED Tax Credit Specialist (LIHTC) NEEDED - Metroi Detroit
Full House Marketing is a Michigan-based apartment staffing company and the hiring authority for many property management companies in the area.
We currently have a client in need for a strong Compliance Specialist (COS preferred) for an LIHTC Apartment Community in the Metro Detroit area.
Assignments may lead to permanent employment through temporary staff-to-hire assignments for the right candidate.
Compliance specialists are responsible for ensuring that the property is complying with various State and Federal funding programs that may include LIHTC, Section 8, HOME, NSP or other programs.
Full-time (may include weekends)
Provide a strong level of customer service to current and potential residents
Compliance with Federal Fair House Act
Process new applicant and annual certification files by obtaining verifications in an accurate and timely manner
MUST HAVE SKILLS
Minimum of 2 years work experience processing files in the affordable housing and property management industry
Expert knowledge of major affordable housing programs including but not limited to: LIHTC, BOND, HOME, HUD/Section 8
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to perform in a busy, multi-tasking work environment
Ability to pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
Requires basic business math skills
Strong research and critical thinking skills
Proficiency with PC systems and Microsoft Office Software
Property management software
Minimum 2-3 years of apartment or similar experience
Dependability and integrity
Business professional appearance
Valid Driver's License
Pass background and motor vehicle history check
Property management software experience
COS is a HUGE PLUS!!
