Job Summary: Provides high quality medical physics to patients requiring radiation therapy through state-of-the-art technology. Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Physicist, directs all clinical physics activity in the department of radiation oncology.
Job Requirements: Masters or Ph.D. in Physical Sciences, Radiological, Medical Physics or Engineering Sciences required. Must be certified by one of the following boards: American Board of Radiology, with specialty in Radiation Therapy, American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine, or American Board of Medical Physics. Experience in general radiation therapy required. Demonstrated strong leadership skills. Demonstrated skills in clinical research. Facilitation of innovative techniques. Experience, in IMRT/IGRT,HDR Brachytherapy, and Radiosurgery required.
Preferred Qualifications: Two years working under the direction of a board certified physicist or two years post doctoral training with clinical experience in Radiological or Medical Physics preferred.
