The Equity Derivatives Operations team is a diverse team that provides support to the Equity Derivatives Trading and Sales desks in America. This role will have a direct reporting line into the Americas Head of Equity Derivatives Operations, as well as the Global Product Head.
The team consists of operations, and product subject matter experts through to experienced strategic change professionals valued for their exceptional delivery track record, and structured approach to problem solving. Our mandate is to work closely with the Business as a single point of contact for all operational issues, and to do so, we engage with multiple stakeholders including the Trading, Sales, Structuring, Pnl and Risk teams, Finance, Valuations, Settlements and Documentation.
Contribute to the direct day to day business support of the Equity Derivatives Sales and Trading Desk for all Operational matters
Perform critical reconciliations relevant to the various derivative products supported (both Listed and OTC), and resolve relevant breaks therein
Consistently maintain the firm’s robust suite of control functions to ensure a sound and controlled operating environment for the business to thrive
Perform complex trade capture responsibilities, working closely with Sales and Trading to ensure the details align with the customer’s (and business’) intentions
Attend and participate in organizational meetings with internal stakeholders to assess and provide feedback on exception management and overall team health
Provide support, expertise, effort, and guidance for pipeline initiatives, and contribute to identification and delivery of potential efficiency opportunities and projects
Attend and actively participate in all current and upcoming market initiatives to ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory change
Dynamically identify methods to solve long-standing or new business-related problems that you or the organization may collectively be faced with
Establish rapports and collaborate with a broad network of functional departments and contributors across the firm to achieve common goals
Liaise with our IT partners, clients, function analysts and developers as appropriate to ensure solution design and implementation is in line with the business requirements
You will have:
A degree concentration in Business, Economics or Computer Science (or equivalent Business Analysis certification and/or relevant work experience)
Equity Derivatives product experience, specific to the Middle Office/Operations function
Bring a positive attitude and be confident in your approach
Attention to detail, and a strong understanding of risks associated to Equity Derivatives
Regulatory knowledge; should be aware of current regulations impacting investment banking
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge in MS Office products
