Full Job Description
The Human Resources Specialist will provide overall HR support for a client group including associate relations, compensation, staffing support, HRIS administration, training, organizational development and other key projects as assigned. The ideal candidate will contribute at both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate HR and business goals. The ideal candidate will bring creative and effective ideas and solutions to a growing organization. This role will interpret company HR policies and procedures, laws and regulations. The HR Specialist may perform duties in any of the following functional areas of HR, EEO/AAP, Staffing, Compensation/Benefits, Training, Organizational Development, and Employee Relations. Implement and communicate company-wide initiatives and programs. May perform project work as necessary.
MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Conduct employee relations investigations and fact finding.
Assist line management with MSS related training and transaction support.
Assist HR Manager in delivering Leadership Training
Assist in the selection of Leadership positions
Assist in the communication and enrollment process of employee benefits programs
Interpret and provide guidance on corporate policy and call center practices
NATURE AND SCOPE
Typically reports to Human Resources Manager
No direct responsibility for supervising others.
ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
Years of Relevant Work Experience: 2 years
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Experience leading associate relations investigations from initial steps through to resolution
Ability to develop strong relationships in order to coach and support client group
Data-driven thinking to analyze information and make actionable recommendations
Understanding of talent recruitment and compensation administration
Familiarity with HRIS administration, Workday is a plus
Previous experience in responding to third party litigation
Experience in representing a company
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:
Basic computer skills and experience with word processing software.
Ability to multi-task.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Knowledge of principles, procedures, and employment laws and regulations.
Skilled at conflict resolution
