The Technical Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Sales and Customer Service departments by providing commercial and technical support, training, and engineered product pricing guidance to internal team members, while assisting external customers with technical sales queries.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Engages in the development of Sales and Customer Service team members to ensure ongoing growth, while evaluating and improving overall department processes and structure.
Supports both internal and external customers by identifying application details and reviewing technical project specifications, as well as providing product selection guidance and postdelivery support.
Ability to act as a liaison between Sales and Production, working to further interpret and define technical product requirements as specified by external customers.
Works closely with Management to define and implement a sales strategy, evaluating market trends and product data. Utilize existing, and develop new, tools to track department performance, including KPIs such as win rate, backlog, and sales bookings.
EDUCATION AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline (prefer Mechanical or related) and minimum four years of experience, including supervisory or management; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in an Industrial product setting and/or with fluidhandling products preferred.
Demonstrated selfmotivation, commitment to task, problem-solving mentality, and customer orientation required.
Strong communication, timemanagement, and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS
Ability to sit for extended periods of time, may be required to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs.
Working conditions are primarily officeoriented, with occasional travel to job sites and customer locations.
Work schedule is 40 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. DeZURIK pays competitive wages and provides a generous employee benefit package.
