Fusion Architects, a leading and fast-growing architecture firm, is looking for a licensed, or unlicensed, Architects to join our team and grow with us. The right candidates for this position are individuals who have 6 or more years of experience, are highly proficient in planning and development of medium to large-scope projects, and are good at project management and executing projects effectively. We would prefer individuals who are licensed, but if not licensed, we encourage you to apply. These are two full-time, in-person positions located at our Baton Rouge office; and whose salary compensation is based on experience and license. Brief Description of the Position
As a Licensed Architect, you will participate heavily in the creation of presentation documents and schematic drawings, and construction detailing, and collaborate closely with team leaders and principals. You will participate in an assigned team, working with clients, team members and across other teams in the firm, while reporting to the team leader and principal. You will be offered opportunities for professional development, including ongoing feedback and formal evaluations, overseeing your continuous growth within the firm. The four key areas of your responsibilities are these below, but not limited to these:
- Produces and administers architectural projects
- Researches, plans, programs and designs projects, applying knowledge of construction detailing, zoning and building codes, building materials and systems, coordinates and integrates engineering elements
- Working with team leaders, may direct or supervise workers in preparing drawings and specifications through all phases of a project.
- Weekly participation in project meetings and on-going collaboration with team members and principals to move projects forward.
The Requirements of a Great Candidate
A strong candidate for this position will have these proficiencies, experiences and skills:
- Degree in architecture, with six (6) or more years of experience with proficiency in planning and developing medium to large-scope projects, and experience in executing and coordinating projects to high quality and within deadlines.
- Licensed architect preferred. If you do not have a license, we welcome you to apply.
- Able to use Revit, AutoCad, Photoshop, Sketch Up, and highly experienced in technical drawings and documentation.
- Has a great and proven understanding of our local governing codes, ADA, and NFPA.
- Experienced in overseeing a team of designers in projects, and managing projects consistently to project deadlines, standards and client expectations.
- Ability to coordinate with consultants
- Experience in managing and completing construction documents in commercial and/or Educational architecture experience is a plus.
- Ability to work in a teams environment with strong communications skills
- Construction administration experience preferred
- Proficient to work through completion of tasks and designs and confident to present final, or almost final, version; self-motivating for task completion without asking for so much review.
- Professional skills to include goal-driven ambition, results-orientation, outgoing person with a positive outlook, good problem-solver, coachability, and a detail-focused commitment to high-quality work, as well as strong communication skills both written and verbal.
What Fusion Architects Offers
This position offers the following compensation, support, and benefits:
- Starting salary based on experience, $65,000, with performance bonuses and career growth and development plan.

- Weekly schedule of Mon-Thurs 7:30-5:30pm, and Fridays 7:30-11:30am (Friday afternoons off).
