NTT DATA Services currently seeks a SharePoint Project Manager to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).
Develop project estimates - Gathers business requirements from the customer to establish project estimates and to recommend a high-level solution.
Develops project workplans and schedules - including Risk Management Plan, Communication Plan, Documentation Plan, Quality Plan, Resource Staffing Plan, and all subordinate workplans.
Monitors and Controls Project - monitors project scope, issues, risks and schedule. Manages issues to closure. Manages project issues to resolution at lowest level. Escalates appropriately when project issues dictate.
Project Communication - ensures all are aware of progress through project meetings, status reports and milestone reviews.
Staff Management - monitors the performance of all resources assigned to project. Takes appropriate action to motivate and manage.
Product Quality - ensures appropriate design, code and test quality standards are followed in the development of the solution.
Manages turnover of project to post production as a Project Requirement including Backup and Recovery procedures.
Contributes to the Project Management knowledge base by contributing to department standards and improvement initiatives.
Project Reflection - Ensures that problems/difficulties during project are documented and recommendation for improvement is identified

Required Job Relevant Knowledge:
Deep knowledge of Project Estimation Techniques for large software projects.
Deep knowledge of project planning - workplan, risk and schedule development focus. Experience with process analysis and business process modeling expected. Experience with CA Clarity and Open Workbench applications preferred.
Deep knowledge of project control - issues management, scope management, schedule management and cost management
Process improvement background - primarily with Application development process improvements.
Knowledge of Quality business processes
Knowledge of Manufacturing business processes, workflow processes and Web enabled systems.
Required Skills: MUSTS
Strong Communication Skills - Verbal and Written
Strong demonstrated Project Management and Control Skills
Experience with System Development Methodologies (SDLC, RUP or AGILE)
Strong system analysis and design skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
7 plus years of strong customer focused deliverables.
Job Level Specific Duties
Provides daily direction to a small project management team.
Leads a team that is typically responsible for managing a small-sized portfolio in which the project mix is primarily made up of less complex projects.
Ensures that all project managers consistently adhere to the NTT DATA standard project management methodology throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensures project scope, schedule, and costs are reasonable and achievable.
Allocates resources to current and future project portfolio.
Conducts periodic reviews to ensure each project or module is on track and conducts post-project reviews.
Typical Years of Experience
Typically requires 6-8 years relevant experience. (Previous managerial/leadership experience not required.)
Minimum Education and Certifications
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Graduate degree preferred.
Ability to apply project management skills to oversee and manage a small team and small portfolio.
Solid people management skills including team building, performance management, pay management, conflict management and talent management.
Demonstrates strong ability to articulate the typical components of an effective project management information system: understands and has advanced proficiency in the specific tools that are available and required as part of the company's project management information system.
Demonstrates solid ability to manage project delivery and project portfolio governance.
Demonstrates solid ability in project program management including executing and managing the processes and the interactions used to plan, acquire, assign, develop and manage the resources to operate.
Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions
Ability to physically perform general office requirements.
Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.
5+ years of Project Management experience
3+ years as a Scrum Master
3+ years of SharePoint experience
