General Purpose

The Store Manager fosters a positive work environment by setting challenging and motivating goals for the sales team. They will train and develop staff through meetings, product trainings and coaching conversations. The Store Manager will analyze business trends and make adjustments to meet all sales and KPI goals. This role will also manage budgets, payroll and inventory to maximize profitability.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for ensuring store achieves sales plan and profitability targets
  • Analyze daily, weekly and monthly sales reports to determine business trends
  • Set individual sales goals for associates using KPI targets. Reward or coach performance based on individual’s statistics
  • Create a supportive environment and continuously motivate and empower sales staff to meet assigned goals
  • Create a healthy sales culture by providing consistent performance feedback and product knowledge training
  • Communicate with corporate partners, peer stores and mall management
  • Cultivate and coach team to build client relationships through outreach, follow up and networking
  • Acts as a brand ambassador and role model on and off the sales floor and with clients
  • Handles internal and external problems with professionalism and follows through on commitments and documentation
  • Holds Monthly Sales Staff meeting
  • Develops team and builds an external network for recruitment to fill positions in a timely manner
  • Adheres to and enforces all grooming and dress code standards
  • Assist with other tasks or special projects as assigned by upper management.


  • Ensure facility maintenance and presentation meet brand standards and communicate any necessary repairs to the operations department
  • Ensure all cash handling is in accordance with company policy and procedures
  • Monitors shipping and receiving operations for accuracy and cost effectiveness
  • Oversees all inventory measures to reduce shrink and increase accuracy
  • Manages payroll, overtime, time-off requests and scheduling to meet the needs of the business and budgets
  • Completes and submits all necessary paperwork in a timely manner and meets all deadlines


  • Ensure sales floor, cash wrap and stockroom are neat, clean and organized and reflects a luxury shopping environment
  • All shipments are unpacked and placed on the sales floor according to visual directives and guidelines in a timely manner
  • Facilitate floor moves with staff as communicated by visual department
  • Markdowns and sales are organized and ticketed correctly

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years retail experience (direct experience with women's apparel preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience managing a team of any size
