JOB TITLE: Cabinetry Designer - Sales Consultant
REPORTS TO: President New Construction
SUPERVISES: N/A
RESPONSIBILITIES:
To continually manage relationships with our customers from client outreach through to the conceptual to final design and construction of their cabinetry project. Provide the necessary administrative support for all departments. In your role you will collaborate with clients to develop design ideas for their project, calculate budgets and price estimates, as well as select style and finishes. Preparing purchase orders and collecting deposits. This position will be responsible for consulting and following up with customers with design studio options and upgrade purchase process. Follow-up with customers, purchasing, and project managers regarding selections.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Creative with excellent customer service skills.
- Responsible for creating a set of 20/20 plans for cabinetry and specify all finishing materials and presenting to Customer.
- Create cabinetry budgets for upcoming projects and manage costs of existing projects to deliver the product the Customer desires while keeping within budgetary expectations.
- Price and prepare Change Orders, where necessary, and communicate these changes effectively with Customers, and Vendors.
- Responsible for ordering and timely delivery of cabinets and maintaining good relations with Vendors. Negotiate prices on behalf of Icon to obtain quality products and appropriate delivery speed at a competitive price.
- Builds and maintains a high level of product knowledge related to furniture, home furnishings, and related accessories, including a strong understanding of construction features.
- Leadership position requires confidence, experience and a strong ability to influence people and decisions.
- Ability to explain the features and benefits of the cabinetry products and options requested.
- Understanding of critical path items to be completed per the appropriate phase.

- Must have good communication skills with all levels of the team.
EDUCATIONAL AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- One (1) years, minimum, residential construction/school experience in Design
- High school diploma or GED required
- High degree of construction knowledge
- Resourcefulness, patience and clarity
- Strong management and motivational skills
- Good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiar with, and ability to read blueprints, and other home diagrams
- Chief Architect, 20/20 or like software skills, are a plus
- Excellent writing skills verbal and written
- Detail oriented
- Strong sense of color and design applications
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required
- Available to adjust work schedule to accommodate customers availability for evenings or weekends
- Valid driver’s license
- Accepts constructive feedback

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This is an office and field position requiring driving. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, lift, move and carry supplies and materials weighing 25 pounds or less.
- Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard and telephone equipment.
- Office work requires sitting at a computer monitor for extended periods of time, completing paperwork and to receive/return phone messages.
