Information Architect/Library Scientist

Looking for a candidate that has experience in the Learning and Training arena who understands the ins and outs of content organization, content taxonomies/schemas and content standards for a positive user experience.   • Work with internal subject matter experts to assess all training platforms across company to create a single platform for training.
  • Define structure for internal learning content that can be delivered in whole or in part to learning experiences
  • Define the foundation for a single way to structure and mark up content for overall landscape of learning content
  • Facilitate schema definition and mapping across platform
  • definition: Snap to standards for labeling, type definitions, etc.
  • mapping: Ensure there is consistent mapping to a master definition (i.e. master schema)
  • Assist in structuring Content Management System for storage and delivery
  • Create standards and hierarchy for structuring large amounts of content in a corporate setting
  • Assist with managing day-to-day stakeholder relationships, including content reviews
  • Deliver to an audience who heavily communicates via social media and a push communications environment
  • Ensure a consistent voice and tone across all content
  • Participate in content management efforts, process development, and quality governance in support of team success, while also working independently on multiple projects
  • Package and hand off final content to production team

Required Qualifications:

  • Master of Library Science
  • Experience organizing large amounts of content scattered across many platforms
  • Demonstrated knowledge of latest content organizational schemas
  • Solid writing, grammar and editing skills (must provide relevant samples)
  • Demonstrated success writing effective process documentation and internal communications
  • Must be able to self-direct and prioritize assignments
  • Experience in the training/learning space preferred
  • Excellent communication with stakeholders that are scientists in learning and curriculum development
  • Thorough understanding of spreadsheets/quips/Word docs
  • Experience with CMS tools

Additional Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, deadline-driven environment
  • Superb verbal communication and interpersonal communication
  • Knowledge of HTML and XML
  • Must be able to “speak” to a young audience without much life experience in career development
  • Assist in developing recommendation mechanisms for learning opportunities for employees based on known employee attributes (role, skills they have, skills they need for next role, level, profession, discipline, etc.)
