The Curology dermatologists are primarily responsible for supervising, teaching and mentoring the physician assistants and nurse practitioners (medical providers).
What You'll Do
Serve as supervising/collaborating dermatologist for staff Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, while performing all required supervisory duties and maintaining a productive and collaborative relationship.
Review and evaluate provider-patient consultations and follow-up interactions on a weekly basis, as specified by state supervisory/collaborative guidelines, while providing feedback and direction where appropriate.
Other Essential Functions
Teach medical providers, via dermatology lectures, patient care review meetings, 1:1's and other means, to ensure and maintain quality of care.
Be available to the medical providers, in person or through telecommunications, for consultation and collaboration on medical problems, complications, emergencies, and patient referral. Formulate responses to patient questions and concerns, and develops patient educational material and provider resources.
Monitor and respond to provider questions regarding patient care.
Licensing tasks, including but not limited to: fingerprinting, CME courses, jurisprudence and/or other state-specific exams, phone calls and e-mails to state boards.
Other tasks: Provider must-reads, Company meetings, Dermatologist meetings
May provide direct dermatology care to select patients.
Completes CME and other coursework requirements for maintaining state medical licenses
Who You Are
Licensed to practice medicine in the State of California.
Background check free of any hindrances to obtaining medical licensure in additional states.
Able to promptly do the activities necessary to expedite licensing requirements, such as obtain fingerprints; obtain references from former employer(s); etc.
