Manager, Internal Audit

Leviton Manufacturing - Melville, NY

Leviton Manufacturing Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced audit professional to join our Internal Audit team as an Audit Manager. The Audit Manager will report directly to the Director of Internal Audit and will be based out of Leviton’s Melville, NY corporate office.

Work with the Director of Internal Audit to evaluate compliance with legal regulations and corporate controls across Leviton’s business. Based on the evaluation of risk, assist the Director of Internal in preparing the audit plan
Participate in the scoping of individual audits, including performing research on relevant audit topics as needed (e.g., Compliance, IT Security, General Manufacturing)
Lead audit projects, with responsibility for audit planning, audit execution, and closing activities. Closing activities include drafting audit observations and recommendations, as well as communicating the draft audit observations and recommendations to our auditees
Perform follow-up of management’s action plans, including assessing the adequacy of evidence submitted for observation closure
Develop and maintain business relationships with appropriate levels of management across the business to ensure that Audit is aware of changes in business activities and objectives
Seek out relevant classes and trainings to maintain / expand professional skills and licenses
Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems
At least one of the following professional certifications preferred: CPA, CIA, or CISA
Minimum of 3-5 years of audit experience, preferably in a multi-national manufacturing environment, but not required
Must have substantial knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX, and IIA Standards
Demonstrated experience executing audits and evaluating risk and controls within a complex operating environment

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical, time management, organizational and presentation skills

Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 50% - 60%
