Pega Developer (Information Technology Analyst 3)

The New Jersey Judiciary Information Technology Office has an opportunity for an experienced IT professional seeking a career in an enthusiastic, fast paced, cutting edge environment.

The successful candidate will be a senior resource in the eCourts Pega development team, whom are responsible for designing, implementing and supporting enterprise web-based applications that service attorneys, law-enforcement officials, judges and more. Work closely with other senior resources to brainstorm and architect solutions to our existing and future needs. Our Pega environment includes, but not limited to PRPC 7.x, PRPC 8.x, Pega Cloud, DB2, and IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS.)

Example of Duties:

* Conduct business process analysis to subsequently propose and design automated system solutions for the current and future business needs

* Conduct feasibility studies, including alternative approaches, hardware, software, cost-benefit analysis and time/cost estimates

* Design necessary class structures, stages, steps and process for existing and new required workflows

* Perform peer code review and cross-train staff

Salary range is $79,076.70 - $105,598.64. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.

Job Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity AND three (3) years of professional experience in: analyzing, designing, programming, troubleshooting, resolving technical problems, testing, defining business requirements, training and/or installing computer systems applications OR planning, acquiring, installing and implementing telecommunications facilities and services, wide area networks, or local area networks OR generating and maintaining system software.

Note: Hands-on experience in Pega, including Pega system architect (CSA) and Pega senior system architect

(CSSA) is preferred as is hands-on experience in Pega 8.x and Pega cloud.

Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying on a year for year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.

A Bachelor's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and one year of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

An Associate's Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

An Associate's Degree in any field from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional IT technical experience or experience related to the area to which the applicant is applying may be substituted for the required education.

A Master's Degree in a field related to computer science, information technology or the area to which the applicant is applying, such as information systems, human-computer interaction, interactive media, software engineering, computer networking, and/or cybersecurity may be substituted for the required education OR one (1) year of experience.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70), also known as the “New Jersey First Act,” all persons newly hired by the Judiciary must establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.

US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
