The Human Resources Generalist will provide a wide range of human resources support to the department and company. They will maintain and build knowledge and skills in all HR disciplines from employee orientation and recruitment, compensation and benefits, EEO, legal requirements, and training and development.
Ensure consistent policy and procedure application, including progressive discipline, problem resolution, and work force diversity to maximize employee satisfaction
Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
Administer, interpret and explain human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
Responsible for the fair and equal treatment of all candidates or employees with regard to all aspects of employment in a manner consistent with legal guidelines
Prepare and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using human resources management system
Administer LOA process for the plant
Develop and/or implement recruiting strategies to meet current or anticipated staffing needs, including the coordination with outside staffing agencies to secure agency employees based on departmental needs and within the Affirmative Action Plan
Conduct exit interviews and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed
Facilitate timely and consistent entry of hourly payroll and payroll data into HRIS
Partner with HR Manager to develop, implement, maintain, and monitor AAP process
Conduct new hire orientation and training
Provide counseling/coaching for all employees including management and supervisors regarding employee relations matters
Create reports, analysis, action plans and documentation to corporate departments, as required
Maintains working knowledge of corporate compensation and benefit plans, as well as health, safety, and security issues in the workplace.
Participates in workforce development including community involvement, training programs, and career opportunities.
Serves as the Human Resources point of contact for assigned departments, including participation in leadership initiatives and monthly safety meetings.
Monitor for the consistency in application of policies and procedures and compliance with governmental regulations for facility
Core Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent degree and four (4) years of HR Generalist experience
Experience with Microsoft Office; including Outlook, Excel, and Power Point.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to verbally communicate routine job-related processes.
Experience in handling employee relations, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
Recruiting experience including the implementation of recruiting strategies to meet current and anticipated staffing needs.
Experience with department supervisors, managers and employees in providing counseling in regards to policies and procedures.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Previous experience with applicant tracking software and HRIS systems.
Manufacturing industry experience.
