360 Healthcare Staffing is looking for qualified MDS Coordinators in long term care/skilled nursing facilities nationwide. Interim Openings are travel positions, located nationwide and may not be local or commutable daily. Approved Lodging and Travel arrangements for each interim assignment are available. Must be willing and interested in interim travel. Resume and experience must accurately illustrate appropriate experience .
A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state assigned or having a compact state license.
Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience in a health care setting. Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of experience in a long-term care setting as an MDS Coordinator
Coordinates the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with current Federal and state rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the resident assessment, including the implementation of RAPs and Triggers.
Uses company standard systems (Concurrent review when available) to manage the MDS process.
Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care.
Communicates with the facility Business Office Manager and Executive Director on a regular basis regarding default days and unassigned days.
Understands and complies with and promotes all rules and regulations regarding residents’ rights; promotes positive relationships with residents, visitors and regulators, to include presenting a professional appearance.
MDS 3.0 Trained / Certified
Online assessment processing experienced and experienced with different software and computer systems (example: Point Click Care)
Experience managing Resident Care Plan Meetings
Must pass pre-employment physical exam if required. Pre-Employment requirements may also include drug screening, background investigation and reference inquiry.
