JOB DESCRIPTION
Amada is hiring a compassionate Caregiver Manager to oversee Caregivers who provide services to individuals in their own homes and communities, who need assistance caring for themselves as a result of old age, sickness, disability and/or other inflictions.
The Caregiver Manager ensures that employees deliver services in a caring and respectful manner, in accordance with relevant Agency policies and industry standards. They will also provides hands on training with all caregivers in order to set them up for ongoing success at Amada.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate, help create and revise training using activity-based curriculum intended to develop the professional skills, knowledge and performance as a home care aide
- Introductory first shift visit with caregiver, setting the "standard" for the level of Care Amada Senior Care provides by providing full care training
- Work with individuals of diverse backgrounds and experience levels and must be comfortable managing differences in opinions and perspectives
- Observe and evaluate trainee work to determine progress, provide feedback, and make suggestions for improvement.
- Create and implement a step-by-step training process to cover all basic client needs/specific needs completed.
- Administer written or oral performance quiz as required by the curriculum.
- Maintain a very flexible schedule, must be able to travel ALL OC Monday-Friday and possible weekends.
- Must be willing to help with attending open shifts we are unable to cover.
- Always model professional behavior and exemplary customer service as representation of Amada.
- Ability to provide emotional support to help new Caregivers confidence, giving CG a support system.
- Attend a weekly KPI meeting with the ability to report on what trainings you have completed
- Able to attend and help train caregivers orientation
- Drop in visits to ensure the care provided by Caregiver is of standard.
- Ability to recognize if Client's home is up to standard for accessibility and care, so we are able to meet all needs of client and caregiver is set up for success.
- Accompanies the assigned caregiver on all new personal care cases to “open” the case and provide any needed directions to the caregiver and client.
- Visit all caregivers while on duty with an assigned client, to assess compliance with the established plan of care and quality of services provide.
- Provide positive feedback, emotional support and constructive criticism to caregiver during each visit.
- Provide incidental teaching/in-service education on aspects of a client’s care, universal precautions, etc., during each visit with caregiver.
- Establishes and maintains satisfactory working relationships with clients, caregivers and office personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1-2 years of customer service experience (preferred)
- Excellent phone skills
- Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and competitive spirit
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Proactive and solution oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Be willing to travel locally
- Planning and organizing: Sets goals and provides team with necessary tools to achieve goals
- Highly dependable – excellent attendance record & strong work ethic
- Highly Organized
- Drivers License, Personal Vehicle, Auto Insurance.
- Must have 3-4 years minimum experience as caregiver or Home Care Aide- (exceptionally skilled) including all of the following; Hoyer Lift, Gait Belt, Transfer Assistance, Brief Changing, Toileting, Continence Care, Exercise Assistance, Diabetes, Alzheimer's/Dementia/Sundowners, Cancer, Fall Risk education, Medication Reminders/Education, Effective Communication, Grooming, Meal Prep, Bathing, Dressing, Bed Bath, Bedside Commode, Housekeeping/Safety Compliance, Companionship.
- Facilitator Experience- (leadership experience) classroom teacher, team lead, management role, tutor, admin assistant(encouraged to apply).
- CNA license is a plus but not required

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
