Operating a hospital is more than IV bags and trauma rooms. One might be surprised by the number of people – and the hats they wear – who work behind the scenes to make sure a hospital runs smoothly and safely for our patients, visitors and staff. Each one plays a critical role and is part of a team to ensure the best care for our patients.
The Integrated Clinical Technology department (ICT) works with clinical technologies that provide direct patient care with an IT component. We support many different clinical applications from a departmental, facility based system and then moving up to enterprise applications. We work with IT, Clinical Engineering and the departmental clinical staff to define, develop standards and protocols for the use of these Clinical technologies. In addition, the department also has responsibility for planning, implementing, and provide on-going support for integrated clinical systems. These are highly unique systems that are hybrid technologies comprising both a medical device and a clinical application with a high degree of connectivity to the Banner network and IT applications.
As a Biomedical Engineer Project Consultant, you will be responsible for project management support and configuration of desktop and server applications. You will play a vital role in upcoming upgrades within our Imaging service line and upcoming deployments for cardiovascular and imaging applications.
