Part-time to full-time Paralegal needed to support a transactional and litigation firm focused on business and employment law serving various industries. This person will essentially serve as a reliable litigation paralegal to the firm's clients, assist with a broad range of administrative tasks, calendaring for attorneys, legal research, filing documents electronically for state and federal courts, arranging for the delivering of courtesy copies or files, attending meetings, note taking during conference calls or meetings, drafting discovery requests/responses, compiling discovery production, analyzing and summarizing large quantities of data, discovery, research, and records, organizing files, drafting internal memoranda on research topics, preparing correspondence, assisting with reception area and conference/meeting room set up, and drafting pleadings or motions as allowed by any and all applicable rules of professional conduct governing paralegals.
The Paralegal is expected to abide by all firm policies, the firm’s Confidential/Non-Disclosure Agreement, and any and all applicable ethical rules. The person accepting this position must be able to be punctual in attendance, timely in their task handling, have excellent organizational skills, remain in a stationary position 50% of the time, have the ability to occasionally ambulate about the office to access file cabinets and office machinery, etc., constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/scanner, and computer printer, and be able to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds when receiving deliveries of office supplies or records. Last, the Paralegal must attend any training or further certification required for compliance purposes.
Must have at least three years of litigation law firm experience, experience with trial work preferred. This individual will be expected to provide support to attorneys and work with fellow support staff as needed. Must be able to work in full Microsoft Office suite services, Clio, Adobe Pro, etc.
Last the Paralegal must have excellent and distinguished organizational skills as it relates to providing the necessary support on transactional matters, including the appropriate file management and organization of due diligence, transactional checklists, contracts and related documents.
