CDL Driver

Reports To:
Logistics Manager


Responsible for the timely delivery and pick-up of client material and tracking of those materials through appropriate recording practices.

Deliver and pick up cartons of records from various client locations and tracking of the same through paperwork and/or handheld scanner.
Operate company vehicle to and from client locations in a safe manner and perform pre-trip and post-trip inspection on vehicle.
Complete paperwork documenting fuel used and mileage traveled.
Complete paperwork documenting material picked up and problems occurring on a daily route
Perform all duties in compliance with appropriate safety and security standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Independence/Supervision received:
Close Supervision: Reports to the Logistics Manager. Training is provided. Work is reviewed at designated milestones for accuracy.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
1 year of commercial driving experience
Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations. Follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
Experience working in a fast paced environment while managing competing demands.

Valid driver’s license
Clean driving record
DOT Medical Card
EQUIPMENT:List all equipment the employee will need to be proficient in using to perform job tasks (e.g. pallet jack, forklift, computer, software, copier, phone system, etc.).

Hand held scanner – basic use
Global positioning system receivers — Global positioning system GPS devices
HR Systems – ADP EZLM
Personal Computer – able to type on keyboard; able to use Internet browsers and Google mail
Phone System – able to dial-in and attend webex sessions; audio/visual conferencing
Electronic mail software

Detail oriented and organized.

Employee will be required to sit in a vehicle for extended periods of time.
Employee will be bending, reaching and lifting boxes/materials repeatedly on to and off of docks and trucks.

Local travel is required approximately 99% of the time in this position. This travel will be during business hours on a daily basis. Daily routes will average 6-8 hours in duration but will vary with the distances traveled. Overnight travel may be required for special projects, possibly once per year. In the event of a disaster, the employee may be required to travel to and work from a different location.
