As the Business Systems Analyst you are a change
agent. You see ‘ambiguity’ as an opportunity rather than a hurdle and thrive on
challenging yourself to push beyond conventional thinking. You have a high
level of responsibility for the requirements definition, solution design and
deployment of projects across TriNet. You will bridge the gap for a team of
technical experts which may consist of Architects, Developers, QA Testers,
Analysts and Business stakeholders. This ‘hands on’ role will work with
management and cross functional peers in the delivery and engagement of small
size projects to long-range projects.

Work closely with business and development
teams to analyze and develop the best solution design and approach as a
hands-on analyst or PM

  • Make solution recommendations that align to
short- and/or long-term strategic plans and roadmaps
Articulate solution alternatives and employ data-based
recommendations to influence decision makers and ensure business outcomes will
be achieved
Mentor other team members, ensure adherence to SDLC
practices, including scoping, analysis, design, and testing standards via Agile
and/or Waterfall methodologies

  • Develop, evaluate, and implement improved
processes, methods and tools to continually improve software analysis, project
management, and delivery
Provide hands-on issue resolution alternatives and takes
ownership of assigned deliverables
Produce designs and functional specifications for custom
development, package configuration, and/or system integration requirements.

  • Ensure design/specification properly address business
requirement and follows architecture standards
Provide high-quality consultation to technology and business partners,
demonstrating a high level of functional and/or project management expertise in
their assigned domain

  • Must demonstrate good judgment and pragmatic approach to
delivering solutions or project plans that optimizes project activities across
company needs, business constraints and technological realities
Conduct frequent business reviews to ensure solutions and projects deliver
the expected business outcomes while continuing to raise the bar on quality
standards and best practices for solution development and project management
May act as a liaison or primary point of contact for communicating solution
within and outside the team

  • Maintain Industry-wide and/or best practices through research
and community memberships
Other projects and responsibilities may be
added at the manager’s discretion.


  • Graduating with an
undergraduate or graduate degree in December 2018 or May/June 2019, with
preferred majors in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Management Information Systems or other related field

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA in
core major classes

  • Previous relevant
internship/work experience required
Academic leadership or extra-curricular activity involvement preferred

  • Hands-on experience with requirements analysis,
solution design, and/or project management preferred

Technical Knowledge, Skills, &

Beginner to intermediate knowledge

of some of the following (not all required):
  • Object-Oriented analysis and design skills from
a customer-in vantage point

  • Experience with multiple Software Development
Lifecycle methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.)

  • Agile (Scrum) project methodologies and
development practices, particularly sprint planning and assessment, and test-driven
development and continuous integration, APEX, VisualForce, Workflows, OBM,

  • Integration/EAI technologies (e.g. Mulesoft,
Pervasive, Informatica, Jitterbit, ESB, etc.),

  • Java, JavaScript, ASP,C++Java/J2EE, including
SOAP, RESTful, .NET and related technologies (JSON, XML, etc)

  • Common frameworks such as struts, spring,
hibernate, etc. and database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL,
stored procedures)

  • Experience using Salesforce data tools (e.g.,
Data Loader, DemandTools, Eclipse IDE).


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to understand business
objectives and requirements and convert them into solution designs and/or
project plans strongly desired

  • Experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives
against business and financial constraints strongly desired.

Strong analytical and/or project management skills with attention to detail

  • Problem solver with intellectual
curiosity to surface insights & implications and use this knowledge to
