Customer Service Representative

Location: Arden, NC

Requirements:
Order to cash full portfolio management and stewardship as assigned by management.
Customer order processing in accurate and timely fashion.
Order receipt; acknowledgment; entry; invoicing; etc.
Must be resourceful and adept at problem solving; able to deal constructively with ambiguity.
Strong work ethic with initiative and consistent follow through and timely closure or resolution of daily issues.
Adept at working with multiple sites and departments in a fast paced environment.
Excellent attention to details with strong organization skills.
Ability to recognize an existing or potential issue and be resourceful, creative and independent in your approach to it.
Able to work with people of diverse background and / or personalities.
Adept at department and individual KPI reporting with integrity and in a timely manner.
Maintain good customer/employee relations. Generally deals with sales force and customers concerning matters that require tact and resourcefulness.
Use ERP operating system (SAP) for sales order entry through billing as well as 3rd party ship orders.
Demonstrate ability to review and analyze inventory status in other warehouses to assist in providing order deadlines for rush orders and end of month balancing of consignment warehouse inventory.
Follow up on inquires, working closely with production regarding completion dates for production work in process and with shipping / traffic departments for subsequent shipment on time and in full.
Maintain routine department deadlines and sop processes related to customer service platform: accounting adjustments, pricing, credit holds, delivery blocks; order entry mailbox and other activities as required.
Accurately manage daily paperwork for processing billing; customer consignment inventory tracking.
Maintain ongoing stewardship over the end to end documentation required for domestic and export customers to comply with corporate; legal and customer specific requirements.

Interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain a good rapport and working relationship with all co-workers, management, sales force, other branch employees, corporate staff and business partners.
Exhibit good organizational, problem solving and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety rules.
Excellent communication skills.
Intermediate skill in Microsoft office – mainly Excel.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Minimum Qualifications:
Two years customer service experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills , both orally and written.
Intermediate skill level in MS offices suite. (note: once mutual interest has been established, must demonstrate by earning passing score on company administered test in MS word & excel).
Strong computer, math and ERP systems skills. (SAP experience strongly preferred).
High school diploma or equivalent (associates or bachelor’s degree strongly preferred).

Strongly Preferred:
Export shipment documentation experience.
Logistics experience.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
