We have a current opening for a Controller, in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities:
Manage all finance and accounting operations
Prepare timely monthly financial statements
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Worker s Comp, Cost Accounting and Percent of Completion Revenue Recognition
Research technical accounting issues for compliance
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Supervise accounting department – ability to lead other employees in their respective roles.
Analyze and report of company s liabilities and investments. (including bank accounts, insurance, payroll auditing, contracts, workers comp audits, job costing, any other overhead areas)
Asset management – (how can we reduce costs.) (tools, trucks, office supplies AND job supplies.
Ensure proper Cash Flow through needs analysis.
Develop and implement possible financial procedures to improve our financial status.
Prepare all required Tax Documentation – coordinating and producing for accountant.
Additional controller duties as necessary

Qualifications:
Strong leadership qualities
Previous experience in construction accounting management or other related fields
Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deadline and detail-oriented
5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
Advanced degree in Accounting preferred
Spectrum Accounting and/or Construction background experience a plus
