Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in merchandising, marketing, or partnerships.
Industry experience working in gaming, mobile, e-commerce or digital content.
3 years of experience working in a function or company focused on mobile gaming.
Ability to advise on strategies and product requirements, and negotiate with internal teams on priorities, to enhance merchandising capabilities.
Ability to work collaboratively in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
Advanced analytical skills, with ability to analyze performance data and apply that analysis to optimize merchandising strategy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creative copy writing.
A personal passion for mobile/PC/console gaming.

From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across Sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
As a Merchandising Manager for Google Play Pass, you will strategically surface and promote apps and games included in the subscription service to drive engagement and retention. With the user top of mind, you will create engaging content and surface the right apps and games on the store via ongoing merchandising updates. You will partner with cross-functional teams including Business Innovation and Business Development, and manage communications and negotiations with senior stakeholders, to help grow and expand the program to new users. You will bring strategic thinking skills, creativity, and a user focus to the role. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, take initiative, be results driven, and look at data to help drive decisions.

Set Play Pass merchandising strategy for the Play Store, ensuring the promotion of diverse and subscription-driving content.
Partner with Business Development team to identify top apps and games to drive acquisitions and retention, and surface the best content to the user.
Communicate with senior stakeholders to ensure program alignment and proper prioritization of project elements.
Align on product capabilities and drive innovation to create an immersive experience for the user.
Analyze internal data, market research and industry trends to make content promotion and editorial decisions.
