Mass. Bay Brewing Company’s (MBBC) Business Development Analyst is a business-facing role responsible for both front-end analysis and evaluation of business development opportunities as well as helping the VP of Business Development see projects through to their successful conclusion. The Business Development Analyst will work closely with the VP of Business Development, providing support for a wide range of projects, including possible acquisitions, new product development, and contract production relationships. This role uses all available tools to put together sales forecasts, interpret data, analyze current partnerships and evaluate potential relationships. This individual should be highly motivated, detail oriented, and be able to effectively communicate to cross-functional teams and external partners.
These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Generate and present forecasts and reports to internal teams
Support weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual forecasting
Convert data into easily absorbed, actionable recommendations
Assist in the creation, implementation, and management of strategic plans, policies, and procedures
Continually improve reports and visual dashboards to meet business needs.
Conduct analysis, generate insights, and recommend actions for senior leadership
Support business development budget planning
Determine market strategies and goals, strategize new approaches for attracting greater partnerships
Set deadlines to ensure that contract goals are met and all business team members are performing adequately
Track the negotiation process to see potential partners through the lifetime of their partnership with MBBC. Ensure they are satisfied with every step of the way
Support the VP of Business Development in acquiring new partners through networking and outreach targeted at potential new partners and related institutions
Creatively prospecting for new businesses that can gain significant value through a partnership with MBBC
Achieve and exceed established monthly, quarterly and annual goals
Evaluate qualified leads and appropriately distribute them through the VP of Business Development
Log, track and maintain prospect contact and contact records
Establish & maintain industry contacts that lead to potential opportunities
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Marketing
2+ years of business prospecting experience
High level of integrity and commitment to excellence

Experience managing multiple projects and ability to multi-task
Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
