The Systems Administrator is responsible for the design, maintenance, security and operation of the systems attached to the Cardinal network. This position is also responsible for providing support for technology issues and occasional end user support. Candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment. Candidate will also be required to provide support for off-hours change windows and participate in on-call responsibilities.
Architect, implement and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, Server 2008/2012/2016, and features.
Support Active Directory, Exchange, and Clustered File Server environments.
Provide Tier 3 level user and hardware support of Windows based network systems.
Perform root cause analysis to quickly recover from service interruptions, and to prevent recurring problems.
Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and monitor system events.
Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
Responsible for Office365 support, including troubleshooting, problem ticket escalations, and end user documentation.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Experience implementation, configuration and troubleshooting complex Windows 2008, 2012, and 2016 systems.
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure – GPO management, OU structure management, multiple geographically dispersed domain controller management, DFS, rolebased permissions, patch management.
Good experience implementing and administering common TCP/IPbased services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SSH, SMTP
Experience with VMware vSphere 5.x or higher
Experience writing PowerShell scripts
Experience with Terminal Services
Experience with Office 365
4+ years as Systems Administrator experience
