Our client has an exciting opportunity based in Florham Park, NJ for an HR Assistant supporting the HR Team of a leading pharmaceutical in a temporary capacity for a maximum of twelve months. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition & Development Director, this role will support the administration and coordination of the team, in addition to specific work within Talent Acquisition, such as career site projects. With a passion for working with others, you will be the first point of contact to visitors on the floor, work with new hires on their first day for identification badges and assist the functional teams within HR when needed. Being a highly organized individual, you will process and track all invoices for the department and liaise directly with vendors to system set up and inquiries.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $14 – $16/hr (Temp)

Position Overview: This role will suit an individual with a minimum of 1-2 years of Human Resources or Administrative experience gained in a large organization. With a positive approach to your role and a solution-orientated mindset, you will have excellent administration and organization skills, along with the ability to build professional working relationships at all levels. Given the nature of the environment, you will need to be trustworthy & discrete with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. You will also have the ability to be agile to the changing business and a true self starter. The Human Resource Assistant will work 9 AM – 6 PM, Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities of the HR Assistant:
Assist with day to day operations of the HR functions and duties

Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources executives

Compile and update employee records (hard and soft copies)

Process documentation and prepare reports relating to personnel activities

Coordinate HR projects

Assist with new hire on-boarding

Deal with employee requests regarding human resources issues, rules, and regulations

Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data (absences, PTO, leaves, etc)

Communicate with public services when necessary

Properly handle complaints and grievance procedures

Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews

Conduct initial orientation to newly hired employees

Assist our recruiters to source candidates and update our database

Qualifications for the HR Assistant:
A minimum of 1 – 2 years of administrative or Human Resource experience preferred

Able to handle confidential materials with professionalism and discretion

Highly organized with a meticulous eye for detail

Solid working knowledge of ATS navigation

Thorough understanding of HR and Recruitment practices

Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience and knowledge of field
