Electrical Control Panel Assembler

Murray Equipment is currently seeking a qualified individual for an Electrical Assembler. This employee will be responsible for the assembly, testing, start-up and support of electrical control boxes and control panels and other electrical products.

Successful candidates will be motivated, self-directed/ self-starters, mechanically inclined, enjoy hands on work, be familiar with fluid dynamics, chemical processes, understand controls and schematics, as well as Rockwell automation, wiring, and trouble shooting.

To be successful, candidates should possess the ability to train up into an Electrical Controls/ Project Engineer, enjoy electrical design and electrical assembly.

Candidates are preferred to have a related background and experience in the following:

  • AutoCAD/ Solid Works to draw electrical and pneumatic schematics.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics/blueprints to review machine design and spec’s to determine where parts will be located and what parts to use.
  • Design, build, and troubleshoot circuits and circuitry, and proficient in soldering
  • Use electronic test equipment including: oscilloscope, volt meter, digital multimeter, logic
  • probe, DC power supplies, function generators, calipers, and micrometers
  • Rockwell, Allen-Bradley PLC RS Logic 500
  • Prior experience laying out back panels, mounting parts, wiring panels, and installing in machine.
  • Prior experience mounting and wiring up other external parts; such as motors, sensors, valves, and push buttons.
  • Ability to power up automated machine and check I/O to verify machine was ready for programming.
  • Ability to review machine design and spec’s with the Project Manager, to determine where parts should be located and what types of parts to use.
  • Ability to work with Mechanical Designer and other Engineers to finish over all product.

Education in

  • Industrial Automation Engineering Technology and/or Computers and Electronics Engineering Technology or
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent minimum

Some applicants may be pay rolled through the contracted agency/ies for a discretionary 90-day probationary period. Depending on whether the applicant is applying for a direct-hire or an agency-hire, applications and resumes will be passed on to the appropriate manager/staffing specialist.

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour
