Departmental Expectations

Distribution Relations is an innovative department that both leads and supports the organization with new ideas and strategies as part of the ever-evolving trends in the insurance industry.

Position Overview

The Coordinator, Event Management will support the Distribution Relations department through the coordination of internal corporate meetings and support of recognition programs. This role works closely with the Director, Event Management and Recognition Programs in developing, organizing and executing internal meetings and administrative tasks for the recognition programs. The Coordinator collaborates with team members to provide overall support for the Penn Mutual Event Experience.

Responsibilities

Manages the development of internal meetings (approximately 5-8 per year) which includes all aspects of logistical planning from development of online registration system to on-site execution to ensure all attendees are embraced by Penn Mutual’s culture and values.
Acts as point person for business owner with regard to financial accountability, decision-making and direct interaction on business meetings to ensure Penn Mutual’s high standards of service and delivery are met and exceeded.
Provides administrative support for the Event Management team on the delivery meetings and conferences (i.e. printed materials, shipping, ordering of supplies).
Coordinates the promotions, accounting and daily support for the Recognition Programs.
Works with the AVP, Distribution Relations on ancillary projects and administrative support, when required.

Required Experience
Experience

1-2 years of work experience in a corporate environment.
Prior experience working with event management or hospitality, online registration systems and remote partners, vendors and locations to execute a complex work plan preferred
Flexible travel schedule required to potentially include weekends and time outside of standard business hours.

Education/Licenses/Professional Designations

High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or similar discipline preferred

Salary Level = 19
