Job summary
The IT Enablement and Communications team is looking for an intern that will help us bring our IT story to life within Red Hat in Raleigh, NC. You’ll help us tell the story of how IT empowers Red Hatters through technology. We are looking for a self-starter who is a passionate communicator and organizer to promote our IT organization and communicate our successes and services inside Red Hat. Red Hat is built on Red Hat solutions and you’ll also also help tell the story inside Red Hat of how it’s done.

Primary job responsibilities
Find creative ways to bring our IT brand to life and plan the implementation of those ideas
Plan an IT Roadshow for each of the organizations within Red Hat including presentation creation, scheduling speakers, booking rooms, and working with the organizations on dates and times that work for them
Help improve our IT intranet space for the IT team and our intranet space for IT customers
Create a Summer Lunch and Learn series to promote the Red Hat on Red Hat program to all Red Hat associates
Required skills
Marketing or communications or related coursework
Experience planning and editing websites
Event planning experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in fast-paced environment
Motivated
Ability to generate ideas and implement them
Organized and detail-oriented
Ability to make connections and coordinate meetings
Experience with collaboration tools, especially Jive, is a plus
Experience with information architecture and design is an advantage
