Position Summary

Develops the long-term quality strategy and Quality Management System (QMS) by designing, collaborating and implementing continuous improvement processes with the local domestic and international leadership teams. Promotes quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with the local management team to successfully implement the corporate Quality Management System in each respective location.
  • Plans, promotes and organizes activities related to improving the quality and reliability of products, engineering, operations, and installation services. Leads teams in the quality process approach, successful problem resolution and continuous process improvement projects.
  • Manages the development and implementation of budgets, goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems that support best quality assurance and quality control practices.
  • Develops, implements and maintains quality performance dashboards and other performance reports. Works with managers to develop quality performance standards.
  • Investigates and addresses customer, supplier, and internal complaints regarding quality.
  • Leads all Quality-related employee communications and training requirements.
  • Reports to the Executive Management Team through strategic planning sessions and quarterly Quality Management Review process.
  • Performs internal audits to confirm effectiveness of QMS. Trains other employees as internal auditors to ensure ongoing success of QMS program
  • Maintains ISO Certification for all domestic locations only if it successfully influences mindsets and culture to achieve our Quality and Key Performance Indicators goals.
  • Responsible for delegation of the Quality Coordinator activities.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Quality Control or Quality Assurance preferred. In lieu of a degree equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with a combination of QMS, Project Management, manufacturing, quality control or field service.
  • Must have extensive successful background in designing and implementing ISO programs, corrective and preventive action and in the development and management of procedures and work instructions that document and support operational requirements.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business plans, technical procedures and government regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-functional environment and proven ability to influence and build consensus among multiple functions.
  • Above average ability in problem identification, analysis and creative resolution.
  • Proven process development and project management skills.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing using English.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001:2015 standard.

Physical demands and Work Environment

There is a minimal risk of injury. Work hours may be during regular work hours and after hour calls with the international locations. Work hours vary, but may average at least 45 per week. Domestic and international travel required (estimate 30%).
