We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Lead Agile Coach / Training Manager to join our team in Reston, Virginia to begin an exciting and challenging career with Unisys Federal Systems.

Roles and Responsibilities

Agile Coach will be a trusted advisor to Senior Management in how to adopt, mature, scale agile.
Agile coach collaborates with the scrum masters, supports the teams by removing their impediments, listening, advocating for them, and helping them stretch further in serving customers by executing best agile practices.
Coaches and leads agile transformations to shape new ways to deliver large complex programs.
As a coach, cultivates excellent relationships with product owners and other stakeholders, encourages transparency and a team culture of inspection and adaptation. Facilitate Agile team events, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, champion the team, keep them excited and focused around the delivery, and shield them from distraction.
Keep a pulse on the team’s progress, radiate information to project leadership, and recognize, raise, and remove impediments that would prevent the team from achieving their goals.
Organize Scrum team training sessions, retrospective workshops, Lean software development workshops for (infrastructure) teams.
Build high-performance teams; establish mission and purpose for individuals and teams
Eliminate impediments and evolve systems and practices in support of Lean-Agile development
Evaluate performance, including team input; provide input, guidance, and corrective actions
Serve as Agile coach and advisor to Agile Teams
Help in building Agile Milestones and Roadmaps, as well as the building plans that enable them
Help develop, implement, and communicate the economic framework.
Participate in Inspect and Adapt workshops; support teams by helping them remove systemic impediments and implementing continuous improvement backlog items
Protect teams from distractions and unrelated or unnecessary work
Assist the Release Train and Solution Train Engineers with PI Planning readiness and Pre- and Post- PI Planning activities
Participate in PI planning, System Demo, and Solution Demo
Provide other resources as necessary for teams and ARTs to successfully execute their Vision and roadmap
Reinforce the Essential SAFe practices
Identify delays in the system by facilitating or participating in value stream mapping
Work with Release Train and Solution Train Engineers and stakeholders to help ensure alignment and execution of Strategic Themes
Work with the System Architect/Engineer, Product Managers, and Product Owners to establish explicit content authority
Continuously assist in aligning teams to the system mission and vision
Help ensure the engagement of Business Owners, Shared Services, and other stakeholders
Incrementally adopt the Built-in Quality practices for software
Understand, teach, or sponsor technical skills development in support of high-quality code, components, systems, and solutions
Foster Communities of Practice
Understand, support, and apply Agile Architecture and Lean User Experience (UX)
Develop Agile Adoption Strategy, Implement Agile Methodology, Educate Colleagues and Mentor Teams
Responsible for designing a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile.
Define a maturity roadmap with the customer to get an existing Agile setup to a higher maturity level by facilitating continuous improvement.
Helping customers in understanding and formalizing the business value of the business requirements and facilitate in the prioritization.
Investigate required changes in an organization to start using Agile across business and IT teams or a mix of those.
Implement Agile processes, principles and practices across all levels and departments in an organization.
Use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and promote a culture of experimentation and innovation.
Coach business and IT people in using Agile techniques like story mapping, using a portfolio wall, scrum ceremonies, estimating
Guide teams into the Agile methodology, providing feedback and means of improvement, catalyzing organizational growth and answering questions.
Requirements

REQUIRED:
US Citizenship with a DoD Secret clearance.
10+ years in relevant enterprise IT leadership experience
SAFe SPC Certification and experience as an Agile Coach in a SAFe environment.
8+ years of Agile software development experience, with at least 3 years as a scrum master
5+ years of experience in IT system analysis
3+ years managing organizational change related to process automation through IT service delivery
Strong service delivery and relationship management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education / Security Clearance

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and / or related field.
