The Multimedia Designer will be joining the in-house OPTAVIA Creative Team, and helping to develop and create graphic designs for a variety of field facing marketing needs. From concept to design, and execution of production ready content in both digital and print formats.
This role will assist in the design elements for different platforms, such as our training content and materials within OPTAVIA Client Answers, OPTAVIA Coach Answers, OPTAVIA Share, and OPTAVIA Buzz. In addition, the Multimedia Designer will create, build and manage publishing of creative content for the OPTAVIAEvents.com web site, and the OPTAVIA Events mobile app as needed throughout the year.
Designs, develops, and enhances graphics on various web platforms and landing pages.
Designs and produces graphic content for emails across all OPTAVIA field marketing initiatives.
Collaborates with field marketing and communication team to develop design strategy and execute accurate and effective email graphics, social and training visuals for OPTAVIA Coaches and Clients.
Supports the OPTAVIA social media team by assisting with template design and producing social media creative assets to increase OPTAVIA’s social presence, engagement and brand awareness throughout the year and during events.
Generates brand approved image banners and/or other forms of interactive media as necessary.
Creates information architecture, wireframe, and design prototype, and provides design direction and documentation for developers for coding when required.
Defines customer journey; mapping out email strategy to retain and engage customers throughout the customer life cycle.
Analyzes search trends, web analytics, and develops a plan to enhance websites functionalities. Implements user testing and A/B testing for ongoing improvement for all OPTAVIA websites.
Works closely with business analysts, IT Agile team, and vendors on various web projects as needed. Included in usability testing, alongside QA Teams for any upcoming improvements, changes, or updates to current field facing web sites for Coaches and Clients.
Keeps current with emerging web technologies though relevant events, blogs, subscriptions, and continuing education efforts. Provides suggestions on areas of improvement, and offer suggestions for new technologies to explore.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design or Interactive Media, Marketing, related field or equivalent job experience.
4-8 years working experience in graphic design, web design or related field.
Extensive knowledge of graphic and web design software including Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and other print, digital and web related software.
Strong knowledge of User Experience design.
Experience working within various content management systems, Configio, Knowledge Owl or Exigo are a plus.
Familiar with Email marketing best practice and platform (Exact Target or other top-tier email platforms) is preferred.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross-platform issues (IE, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
Mobile application design and video experience is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to translate client needs and provide technical guidance.
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
Extensive knowledge of current website design trends and techniques.
Organized, detail orientated, dependable with a great attitude.
Ability to work in a deadline driven team environment.
Willingness to travel as needed. (About 15% of time)
