Statement of Purpose:
Under the supervision of the Call Center Registration Supervisor, the registrar identifies the department and their first name while answering pre registration telephone calls, in a professional manner, for outpatient and surgical day scheduled appointments, ENDO and Rehab pre registrations, as well as walk-in LAB and X-Ray pre registrations.The registrar is responsible for identifying the correct patient, verifying patient demographic, insurance (eligibility), and physician information, to insure accuracy each and every time.The registrar works closely with the many ancillary department secretaries and physician offices, to check on appointments/visits for the patient and/or to resolve account issues prior to actually pre registering the account, or shortly thereafter.This reflects the overall summary of the job description.The registrar performs other duties as the need arises or as policies change.More specific duties are listed in this document and in the attached addendum.

2.Certification / License: None needed
3.Experience:Hospital/Physician Office Registration work helpful-Call Center experience helpful-Secretarial or Clerical Experience helpful-
Data entry experience helpful
Additional qualifications: **Excellent customer service skills to speak with patient.
Excellent data entry experience necessary to complete registration timely.
Hospital or Physician registration experience preferred
MEDITECH ADM or BAR experience helpful
Must be able to sit at a desk, wearing a headset, for up to 8 hours.
