TITLE: Facilities Project Manager
DEPT: FACILITIES & PLANT ENG
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer functions is a supporting role to assist the Director of Facilities Engineering to complete projects focused on expansion and renovation of existing facilities, outpatient facilities and physician office sites.
Work with architects to assure timely completion of schematic diagrams and preparation of specific drawings to obtain competitive bids.
Identify and engage with external construction managers and contractors to obtain competitive bids for each project.
Timely completion of capital expense requests into the APTTUS system including entering.
Work with Department Heads and Managers to identify scope of work for project proposals.
Inspect job sites to insure that construction projects are built to specifications, identify and adjust to field condition contingencies, and are completed on time and on budget.
Perform other duties as assigned by the COO or Director of Facilities Engineering.

Must have basic computer skills and ability to access internet and other programs applicable to Waterbury Hospital procedures.
College degree and/or completion of an accredited program in business management or Interior Design.
A suitable combination of education and experience in the oversight of multiple construction/renovation projects in a similar work environment.
