The Assistant Brand Manager will play a vital role in the day-to-day management of Physicians Formula and will support the strategic brand management of the brand. This individual will develop marketing programs that maximize brand revenue and will also be a brand champion by supporting key retailers via trade marketing programs and compelling presentations to buyers. This position will report into a Brand/Senior Brand Manager on the team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Brand Planning – develop and support brand and retailer marketing programs to maximize brand revenue and establish ownable positioning in a competitive marketplace
Marketing Plans– Develop and execute consumer-facing marketing plans inclusive of promotional offers, coupons, and breakthrough in-store displays/fixtures
Customer Marketing – lead the Visual Marketing and Creative teams in the development of all POG materials (fixturing, signage) and retailer specific promotional plans to ensure brand positioning is articulated and sales goals are met
Sell-in – Be the brand champion, travel with Sales team as required to present lines to key Retailers in an honest, compelling manner
Analytics – interpret internal sales data and IRI data to understand the effectiveness of each product, line, and promotion. Develop insights and recommendations based on category and competitor data analysis. Analyze and utilize that information promptly to inform decisions on promotions, pricing and product line-ups.
Competitive Awareness – Be the brand expert. Know the competition, capture best practices and put these learnings into place to enhance the brand’s sales
Trend - On top of relative fashion and social trends to the brand business, and have the ability to articulate these trends to cross-functional partners
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
1 to 3 years of work experience in Marketing, with at least 2 years of experience in the MASS Channel
CPG brand management experience and/or experience in the beauty category is preferred

Strong interpersonal relationship and communication to build and foster trust across functional groups
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Power Point/Word is required
