Our Fitesa location in High Point, NC has an excellent opportunity for a Shipping/Warehouse Technician to join our rapidly growing team. Our Warehouse Technicians provide support to the High Point shipping, receiving and warehouse operations by unloading and storing raw materials; handling and staging finished goods and handling packaging materials, additionally performing correct handling and storing of downgraded materials.
Starting pay: $17.38/hour plus $1/hour shift differential
Schedule: Wed-Sun 1pm-9pm

Requirements:
Summary(What/Why/Coverage)-Main Activities:
Under the general direction of the Group Logistics Leader, the Shipping/Warehouse Technician is responsible for all material handling. That includes and is not limited to raw materials, finished goods and scrap material. This position is need primarily for unloading and loading trucks, moving finished good packages from the manufacturing line to the warehouse and for moving raw materials from the warehouse to the manufacturing line.

Technical Competencies:

Ability to read and interpret measurement from a ruler, tape measure, or other measuring device in standard and metric systems.

Key Responsibilities(What/How):
Operations:

Ensure items received are in good order and correct.
-
Interface with operations and Group Logistics Leader.

Focus on continuous improvement and problem solving.

Complete lift truck inspections.
-
Ensure all packaging meets the quality standard and repair as needed.

Deliver materials to the production lines.
-
Empty all conveyors and accurately scan material in locations.
-
Follow MSDS procedures on chemicals received.
-
Operate the FIRM and DYNAMICS shipping systems.
-
Process all shipping documentation.
-
Inspect, stage, scan, and load outbound finished product shipments.
-
Ensure zero shipping errors.
-
Ensure FIFO is being followed when inspecting and staging product for shipment.
-
Complete trailer inspections and ensure trailer meets Fitesa guidelines.
-
Keep warehouse neat and clean, all tools and equipment in their proper place.
-
Relocate any packages to the proper locations as needed.
-
Must be safety conscious and follow company safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
This position requires frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. The position requires frequent lifting, walks and stands for long periods of time, and performs strenuous physical labor under extreme temperatures. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Operate forklift, clamp truck, and attachments, i.e. forks, clamps, pole, etc. in a safe manner and any other packaging/material handling equipment.

Record shipping/receiving information on proper documents.

Ensure items received are in good order and correct.

Focus on continuous improvement and problem solving.

Ensure all packaging meets the Quality Standard and repair as needed while following the packaging/label instructions.

Follow SDS procedures on chemicals received.

Ensure FIFO is used when storing inventory and perform inventory counts as directed.

Clean, organize and maintain cores and all other storage areas.
-
Properly segregate and store downgraded materials.
-
Unload raw material trucks and report to supervisor and unusual conditions in raw materials.

Stage and/or load goods for shipment.
-
Communicate with off-going and on-coming warehouse technicians to ensure proper handoff.

Provide coverage during absence of other shift technicians.
-
Follow all company safety procedures.
-
Complete/perform all other duties as required or directed by supervisor.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
-
3-5 years in Warehousing function.
-
Experienced in Shipping and Receiving function required.
-
Experience navigating within ERP software; MS Dynamics and/or FIRM experience a plus.

Above average communication skills.

Able to prioritize and use time management efficiently
