We are looking for a seasoned Principal Product Manager - Technical (PMT) for our team to grow the business. Through the deep understanding of customers’ preferences, precise estimations of their interactions with ads, and customer experience (CX) innovations, we help customers discover products relevant to them, be an efficient way for advertisers to meet their business objectives, and build a sustainable business that helps Amazon continuously innovate on behalf of all customers.

We develop advanced deep learning and large language models (LLMs), high-scale machine-learning infra, and innovative CX to serve differentiated shopping experiences in different context (e.g., fashion shopping, outdoor and sports) for different customer cohorts, on all devices and in worldwide marketplaces. We work hand-in-hand with engineers, applied scientists, product managers both within the team and across various Stores partners in Amazon to keep the retail experience relentlessly high. We are looking for an entrepreneurial product leader who loves to tackle ambiguous problems across ads and Amazon retail world. This is a high-impact role that requires strategic vision and big-picture thinking, as well as sharp execution, technical depth, analytical rigor, and excellent communication.

Key job responsibilities
As a Principal Product Manager - Technical, you will work closely with business stakeholders, scientists and engineers across Amazon Ads and Stores to

Chart and execute a course for delivering customized, differentiated shopping experiences in different context (e.g., fashion shopping, outdoor and sports) and for different customer cohorts
Develop a strong collaboration with Amazon Stores partners for prioritization and execution of new product features and marketplace optimizations
Obsess over your customers and work backwards to define tenets, customer experiences, long-term goals, focus areas and key success metrics.
Develop and present working backwards documents and product plans
Influence senior leaders across Amazon by proactively communicating your vision, reporting plans and progress, and aligning with Amazon's core leadership principles

Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements
Experience in project management methodologies, business analysis, or process improvement
MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proven track record of complex and creative problem-solving, and the desire to create and build new businesses
Passion for building technology that delivers outstanding customer experiences
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions
Experience with online advertising, search, recommendation, personalization, or e-commerce

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $144,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $279,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
