Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive service and repair, particularly with GM vehicles. This role requires proficiency in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring that vehicles are safe and reliable for our customers.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and recommend necessary repairs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Repair and replace components such as engines, transmissions, and powertrains.
- Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively to complete repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, with a focus on automotive repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge, particularly in diesel engine repair and powertrain systems.
- Familiarity with GM vehicles is preferred but not required.
- Ability to use various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A valid driver's license is required.
