ABOUT SOUTHERN OREGON COAST REGIONAL HOUSING
Southern Oregon Coast Regional Housing (SOCRH) is a regional housing nonprofit dedicated to expanding housing opportunities and strengthening housing stability across Oregon’s South Coast. Through collaboration with local governments, housing providers, service organizations, healthcare partners, and community stakeholders, SOCRH works to address housing challenges across the full housing continuum.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Housing Resource Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for participants, landlords, and partner agencies involved in housing assistance programs administered by SOCRH, including Long-Term Rental Assistance (LTRA) for 18 households and other housing stabilization initiatives.
This position is responsible for participant eligibility reviews, income calculations, rent share determinations, subsidy administration, landlord communication, compliance tracking, inspection coordination, recertifications, and program documentation. The Housing Resource Coordinator ensures that housing assistance programs are delivered consistently, accurately, and in compliance with applicable funding requirements.
The position works closely with participants, landlords, housing authority staff, service providers, and community partners to support housing stability and positive housing outcomes throughout the region.
SOCRH will provide specialized training related to income calculation methodologies, rental assistance program administration, and compliance requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Administration and Participant Services
● Serve as the primary point of contact for housing assistance program participants, landlords, and partner agencies.
● Conduct participant intake, eligibility reviews, income calculations, rent share determinations, subsidy calculations, and recertifications.
● Respond to participant and landlord inquiries regarding eligibility, program requirements, payments, and housing assistance processes.
● Assist participants in navigating available housing resources and referrals to supportive services as appropriate.
● Maintain accurate participant files, case notes, and program documentation in accordance with funding and program requirements.
Landlord Relations and Inspection Coordination
● Develop and maintain positive working relationships with participating landlords.
● Serve as liaison between participants, landlords, inspection providers, and partner agencies.
● Coordinate collection and verification of landlord documentation.
● Schedule and coordinate required HQS/NSPIRE inspections and recertification activities.
● Track inspection timelines, communicate inspection results, coordinate corrective actions, and facilitate follow-up inspections as needed.
● Assist with implementation of payment adjustments or payment holds in accordance with program requirements and funding guidance.
Compliance, Documentation, and Reporting
● Maintain complete and accurate participant, landlord, and program records.
● Track compliance requirements, deadlines, inspections, recertifications, and reporting schedules.
● Prepare and submit required reports and supporting documentation.
● Assist with monitoring activities, audits, file reviews, and quality assurance efforts.
● Support the development and maintenance of program policies, procedures, forms, and tracking systems.
● Ensure confidentiality and secure handling of participant and program information.
Community Outreach and Education
● Represent SOCRH at community meetings, outreach events, and partner gatherings.
● Support landlord recruitment and community awareness efforts related to housing programs.
● Assist with occasional tenant education, housing readiness, financial literacy, and community workshops and trainings.
● Promote awareness of available housing resources and services throughout the region.
Organizational Support
● Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development activities with SPARC Network Manager.
● Maintain collaborative working relationships with community partners, SPARC Network Manager and stakeholders.
● Assist with special projects, program implementation activities, and other duties as assigned in support of SOCRH's mission and housing programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
● Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
● Two years of experience in housing, social services, case management, property management, public assistance programs, community development, or related fields.
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate records.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva and web-based databases.
● Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
● Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
● Experience administering rental assistance, housing stabilization, or affordable housing programs.
● Experience conducting income calculations or eligibility determinations.
● Knowledge of landlord-tenant relationships and fair housing principles.
● Experience working with vulnerable populations.
● Familiarity with OHCS, HUD, Housing Authority, or other housing assistance programs.
● Knowledge of Coos and Curry County housing resources and service networks.
SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE
● Success in this position will be demonstrated through accurate program administration, timely communication with participants and landlords, effective coordination of inspections and recertifications, complete and compliant documentation, strong community relationships, and positive housing stability outcomes for program participants.
Pay: $20.00 - $27.50 per hour
