Tax Manager

Salary $80,000 +

We are seeking a Tax Manager Accountant to join our growing team. Strong organizational and communication skills and prior experience are required. This position offers a challenging career opportunity with benefits.

Qualifications

7 - 10 years of experience of tax preparation is required
Working Knowledge of Thomson Reuters Professional Suite – Ultra Tax, Accounting CS, Fixed Asset and Planner, QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks Online is desired
Working knowledge of IRS Codes and Regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Task oriented, analytical and extremely organized
Eager to help and to learn, desire to advance within the organization
Trustworthy, responsible, reliable, and have a great attitude
CPA designation to be licensed in Florida

Responsibilities:

Review federal, state, county and local income tax returns for both businesses and individuals
Handle IRS communications and audits
Manage team to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and deadlines
Provide guidance to staff for corrective issues and assist with training new employees
Prepare complex tax returns and work papers accurately and efficiently
Provide tax planning to assist clients with budgeting and maximizing tax savings
Understand the rules, regulations and code of ethics of the AICPA
Comprehend pertinent IRC sections and regulations
Perform tax research and develop resolutions
