Overview

This Position Will Operate During the Following Hours:

Wednesday–Friday: 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM (or 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM based on business needs)

The Service & Delivery Specialist acts as the single point of contact for customers, focusing on delivering a high-quality customer experience. This role is responsible for driving client satisfaction through strong call ownership, first-contact resolution, proactive communication, and consistent follow-through. The Service & Delivery Specialist owns the end-to-end shipment lifecycle, from carrier sourcing and booking through final delivery and post-move follow-up.

This is a high-ownership role that blends operational execution with customer advocacy. Success requires strong negotiation skills, a customer-service mindset, and disciplined KPI performance. This position supports a swing-shift schedule and serves as a hybrid role that crosses over all client divisions, including Corporate Relocation, Fleet, and International.

Customer Communication & Experience Ownership

Serve as primary customer point of contact throughout the shipment lifecycle.
Educate customers on timelines, service expectations, and required actions.
Maintain proactive communication and return calls within two (2) hours.
Resolve service concerns with strong ownership and professionalism.
Partner cross-functionally when escalations or service exceptions arise.
Complete 100% of post-move surveys to support continuous improvement.

Carrier Sourcing, Booking & Negotiation

Identify, evaluate, and secure reliable carrier partners.
Negotiate competitive market-aligned pricing to protect margin.
Prioritize preferred and in-contract carriers when feasible.
Manage load board postings and dispatch activity.
Verbally dispatch carriers and confirm schedules, routing, and service expectations.
Validate and document rate decisions using approved systems.

Shipment Execution & SLA Management

Monitor shipments from booking through delivery confirmation.
Proactively identify risks to service delivery and implement corrective action plans.
Coordinate pick-up scheduling and milestone tracking.
Escalate lane disruptions, capacity issues, or carrier performance concerns with recommended solutions.
Ensure carriers comply with client-specific service standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Managed Services for storage, repairs, or value-added services.
Coordinate with Carrier Compliance and Shared Services on towing or storage cost management.
Align execution strategies with client expectations and scorecard requirements.
Maintain accurate, real-time updates across all systems.
Document shipment activity and customer interactions thoroughly.
Manage high-volume email and phone environments efficiently.
Review dashboards daily to ensure KPI performance alignment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Technical & Professional Requirements

(Ability to demonstrate competency within 90 days of hire is required)

High School Diploma required (college coursework preferred)
2-3 years prior experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation coordination, or customer service
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict professionally

Pay: $46,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
