Position Summary
We are seeking a Product Owner to partner with our highly talented cross-functional teams to drive the evolution and expansion of our core platform capabilities, including next-generation tools focused on AI-powered search, discovery, and intelligent user experiences. This role will play a key part in delivering innovative, scalable, and industry-leading solutions that help our customers more efficiently access insights, content, and data across our platform ecosystem.
The Product Owner will be responsible for guiding product execution across discovery, design, development, testing, release, and launch activities while ensuring alignment to customer needs, business objectives, and platform strategy. This role will also support ongoing measurement of product adoption, efficacy, engagement, and overall customer satisfaction to continuously improve the user experience and business impact.
The ideal candidate demonstrates curiosity and enthusiasm for emerging AI technologies and has experience identifying opportunities to apply AI capabilities to improve user workflows, engagement, and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into user stories and prioritize stories and bugs to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Partner with architects, dev managers/engineers and data science teams to validate feasibility, sequencing, and integration dependencies.
- Be the primary point of contact for the business delivery teams, representing the voice of the customer throughout the product development cycle as well as setting priorities, objectives and deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture user needs and requirements, establish acceptance criteria, manage project backlogs and iteration planning.
- Manage daily project goals and schedules, adjusting expectations and priorities as needed.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders.
- Participate in the establishment of the team objective and key results (OKRs) based on input from Corporate OKRs, Product Management and team members.
- In conjunction with the Product Director, assess value, develop cases, and prioritize Stories, Epics and Themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Develop feedback loops to validate the most critical product changes prior to implementation and solicit ideas for new functionality
- Works with UX to create mockups that feed into the User Story Acceptance Criteria
- Research and analyze the customer needs, the industry, competitors, and other potential industries for innovation and valuable product opportunities.
- Analyzing user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
- Must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a willingness to keep their skills and industry knowledge current.
- Support go-to-market release/launch activities working with Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Sales Enablement teams.
- Monitor all phases of product development and help to resolve roadblocks to ensure deadlines are met and product outcomes are delivered.
- Perform other assignments or duties as needed or requested by management.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of Product Owner or Technical Product Management experience, preferably within AI native, SaaS, platform, analytics, or data-driven products
- Experience building or supporting AI-powered search, semantic search & discovery, personalization, analytics, or adaptive learning experiences strongly preferred
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and enterprise AI governance practices, with the ability to help translate AI capabilities into intuitive, customer-facing product experiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive prioritization and product decisions
- Proven ability to gather, refine, and translate business and user requirements into clear product requirements, epics, and user stories
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, UX/design, data, and business stakeholders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and managing product backlogs in tools such as Jira
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing initiatives and drive projects from concept through delivery and launch
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence across teams and organizational levels
- CSM, CSPO, PSPO, or similar Agile/Product certifications preferred
