Our vision is to make online shopping more engaging, personalized, and accessible for both consumers and sellers. We are currently in the MVP and platform-building stage and are assembling a small, highly capable team focused on execution, speed, and long-term growth.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Startup Operator & Product Execution Manager who can help turn company vision into execution. This role combines startup operations, product management, project management, team coordination, and execution leadership. You will work closely with the founder and become one of the key people responsible for organizing priorities, coordinating teams, driving accountability, and ensuring that product development continues moving forward efficiently. This is not a corporate Product Manager role. We are looking for someone who enjoys building from zero, thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership without constant direction, and can create structure where none exists.
Initial Responsibilities:
Startup Operations
- Manage day-to-day startup execution and workflows
- Coordinate workflows across engineering, design, research, and contractors
- Assist with operational processes and internal systems
- Organize documentation and workflows
- Support hiring coordination and contractor management
- Ensure execution speed while maintaining quality
Product & Project Management
- Translate founder vision into actionable product plans
- Break large ideas into clear deliverables, milestones, and releases
- Create and maintain product roadmaps
- Define MVP scope and release priorities
- Drive product discovery and validation
- Conduct customer discovery and user research
- Analyze user behavior and feedback
- Write feature requirements and product specifications
- Coordinate implementation across design and engineering
- Manage product backlog and sprint planning
- Track delivery progress and unblock execution
- Research product and analyze the market
Team Coordination
- Work closely with developers, designers, and contractors
- Manage async communication and task accountability
- Help maintain team productivity, alignment, and operational continuity
- Coordinate testing, feedback, and iteration cycles
Strategic Execution
- Help shape MVP direction using user feedback and market research
- Support product validation and experimentation
- Support recruitment coordination, screening candidates, and managing onboarding.
- Contribute ideas around platform usability, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate meetings, updates, and operational reporting
- Assist in building scalable systems for future growth
Qualifications:
- Deep experience in ecommerce, social media, social commerce, digital marketplaces, or consumer internet businesses
- Experience managing projects, teams, or startup operations
- Ability to work independently in fast-moving environments
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Strong organizational and execution skills
Preferred Experience:
Consumer, Social Media & Ecommerce
- Experience working in social media, social commerce, creator economy, ecommerce, digital marketplace, or consumer internet businesses
- Understanding of how large-scale consumer platforms acquire, engage, retain, and monetize users
- Knowledge of seller onboarding, marketplace operations, consumer behavior, and platform growth dynamics
- Experience supporting growth, retention, engagement, acquisition, or monetization initiatives
Product Strategy & Product Management
- Product strategy and roadmap ownership
- Product discovery, customer discovery, and user research
- Customer interviews, market research, and competitor analysis
- Product-market fit validation and experimentation
- Prioritization frameworks and feature trade-off decisions
- Writing PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications
- Product analytics, KPI development, adoption tracking, and A/B testing
- Experience building products from 0 → 1, MVP → launch → growth
Startup & Operational Leadership
- Experience operating in startup environments with high ambiguity and rapid iteration
- Direct experience working alongside founders and leadership teams
- Experience translating vision into execution and creating structure from incomplete information
- Building processes, documentation systems, workflows, operating procedures, and execution frameworks from scratch
- Hiring coordination, contractor management, and remote team leadership
- Managing developers, designers, researchers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
- Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining execution quality
Technical & Platform Experience
- SaaS, platform, marketplace, or technology product experience
- Strong understanding of software development workflows and engineering collaboration
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and participate in architecture, systems, and platform discussions
- Systems thinking and scalable product design principles
- Strong AI awareness, including familiarity with modern AI products, LLMs, AI-assisted workflows, and emerging technologies
Business & Strategic Leadership
- Go-to-market (GTM) planning and execution support
- Executive stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership
- Experience supporting fundraising activities, investor communications, strategic planning, or company-level initiatives
- Exposure to both startup and enterprise operating environments
- Strong business judgment, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Relevant experience, portfolio quality, technical thinking, and execution ability are valued more highly.
Work Structure & Compensation:
- Contract-based position
- Initially 10-15 hours/week

- Compensation will depend on experience, skill level, involvement, and project scope.
This role may evolve into a larger long-term opportunity as RushCiti expands beyond the MVP stage.
