The American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing (AAPACN) represents more than 20,000 post-acute care nurses and professionals working in more than 6,00 facilities nationwide. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
The purpose of this position is to create design solutions that have a high visual impact, reflect the brands of the associations, and support the financial or engagement goals of the organization. These design solutions would include:
- Printed collateral: Brochures, booklets, direct mail, one-sheets, manual covers, advertisements, tradeshow and exhibiting materials, event collateral and signage, business cards, etc.
- Digital collateral: Digital marketing materials, interactive education-based pdfs, digital applications, PowerPoint templates
- Video Marketing: Filming and editing of basic videos
- Digital Marketing: Design of social media visual assets, website visual assets and webpages, email design, etc.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires excellent design and project manager skills as well as the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a detail-oriented approach delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Decision-making: The decisions made are at a defined level and impact all aspects of AAPACN’s business, including revenue and expenses. The position requires decision-making ability, the experience to know when to seek direction, and acceptance of accountability for decisions made.
Complexity: This position requires excellent and innovative problem-solving skills and knowledgeable judgment based on experience or research.
Authority: This position is that of an individual contributor.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conceptualize and design digital marketing materials, interactive education-based pdfs, digital applications, PowerPoint templates, social media visual assets, website visual assets and webpages, etc.
- Conceptualize and design print marketing assets, including brochures, booklets, direct mail, one sheets, manual covers, advertisements, tradeshow and exhibiting materials, event collateral and signage, business cards, etc.
- Conceptualize, film, and edit basic marketing videos using DSLR camera and Adobe video and sound editing software.
- Create and update digital assets, layouts, and concepts to support email campaigns through a dedicated email-marketing platform (Click Dimensions).
- Collaborate with marketing and program team members in creating goal-oriented campaign strategies.
- Stay abreast of any healthcare sector-wide changes in design philosophy and any new tools and technologies being used for the Internet and e-commerce.
- Perform other duties as needed or as assigned in support of organizational goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
Associate’s degree with emphasis in graphic design, web design/development, or visual communication. Bachelor’s degree preferred. At least 1 year of professional experience in an ad agency or in-house design department as an employee.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud—InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Acrobat. Working knowledge of HTML a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Position is fully remote.
- Flexible work times within a Monday through Friday workweek, not to exceed 29 hours per week.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
