Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital marketing and a strong understanding of social media platforms. This role is essential in enhancing our brand presence online, engaging with our customers, and driving traffic to our website.

Duties

Create, design and manage published daily content across various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Company Websites for all locations
Develop engaging multimedia content such as graphics, videos, and photography that resonate with target customers.
Monitor social media channels for comments, and messages; respond promptly to inquiries
Utilize tools for scheduling daily posts
Collaborate with the managers and owners to ensure brand consistency across all digital platforms.
Conduct proofreading of all published content to maintain high-quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends in digital marketing and public relations to inform strategy development.
Create consistent meaningful content on all social media platforms, including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement and promoting social media campaigns
Staying up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media
Taking photographs for all social media outlets
Suggesting recommendations to adjust the social media marketing strategy for optimal results
Create and sync calendars of holidays and events with social media
All company handouts (event packets, brochures, direct mailer designs, menus)

Monitor and evaluate company’s social media presence on yelp, google, TripAdvisor, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest etc.

Provide general office support such as answering calls, emails, and scheduling appointments
Make reservations using booking systems and ensure all details are accurate

Requirements

Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing.
Strong skills in photography and graphic design; proficiency in Canva and Wix is a plus.
Must be able to write clearly and with good logic, and ensure that content has correct punctuation and grammarExcellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with Hospitality Industry a plus.
Strong time management skills to effectively plan out your day
Knowledge of public relations principles and practices is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent writing, editing, presentation and communication skills
Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organizational ability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Preferable: BA in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
Must have at least 3 year experience
