About the firm

Susan E. Loggans & Associates is a highly successful, nationally recognized plaintiff's personal injury firm in Chicago, with a focus on medical malpractice and sexual assault litigation. We are investing in modern tools to let our team spend less time on repetitive administrative work and more time on the work that matters for our clients.

About the role

We're looking for a hands-on AI Automation Specialist to build and run automated workflows that replace tasks we currently handle manually — things like opening new matters and preparing routine correspondence. You'll use Claude's agentic workflow tools alongside our case-management system (Filevine) to design repeatable, reliable processes, and then maintain and improve them over time.

This is a builder-operator role, not a research or strategy role. You should be comfortable taking a manual process, figuring out how to automate it well, and owning it end to end. Because you'll be working with privileged client information and protected health information, careful, confidential data handling is essential.

What you'll do

Build and maintain automated workflows using Claude's agentic/workflow tools to handle recurring firm tasks (e.g., new-matter intake and file opening, routine letters and notices).
Translate existing manual processes into clear, repeatable, well-documented automations.
Integrate Claude-driven workflows with our Filevine case-management system.
Design and refine prompts and templates so outputs are accurate and consistent.
Monitor running workflows, catch and fix issues, and improve reliability over time.
Document processes so the team can understand and rely on them.
Follow firm and vendor data-handling requirements to keep client and medical information confidential and secure.
Supervise and facilitate the firm technology

What we're looking for

Demonstrated experience building automations or workflows (AI-driven, low-code/no-code, or scripted).
Comfort working with AI tools, including practical prompt design.
Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset.
Excellent written English — you'll be shaping templates for client-facing correspondence.
A clear understanding of confidentiality and data-privacy obligations in a regulated or professional setting.
Ability to work independently and own a process from start to finish.

Nice to have

Experience in a law firm or legal-services environment.
Familiarity with Filevine or comparable legal case-management software.
Experience handling PHI/PII or working under HIPAA or similar privacy frameworks.
Familiarity with Claude or similar AI assistants in a business workflow.
