Summary
Lead Clinician at Sunny Glen Children’s Home is responsible for providing oversight of mental health/counseling services for the clinical department. The lead Clinician will train new clinicians and continue to monitor clinicians’ overall functions and job duties. The lead Clinician is expected to provide guidance with mental health interventions. The lead Clinician is responsible for ensuring the clinical team adheres to strict deadlines and timeframes with reference to record-keeping and assessments/screenings conducted by the clinical department. The lead Clinician will abide by ORR, state, and other contractual guidelines and timeframes. Lead Clinician will report to the Assigned Assistant Program Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities(include the following. Other duties may be assigned.)
Guides and directs management in the development, production, promotion, and financial aspects of the organization's products and services.
Directs the preparation of short-term and long-range plans and budgets based on broad corporate goals and growth objectives.
Oversees executives who direct department activities that implement the organization's policies.
Implements programs that meet corporate goals and objectives.
Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.
Maintains a sound plan of corporate organization, establishing policies to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.
Develops and installs procedures and controls to promote communication and adequate information flow within the organization.
Supervises the design of hardware and software systems to assist in the smooth and efficient flow of information.
Establishes operating policies consistent with the Chief Executive Officer's broad policies and objectives and ensures their execution.
Evaluates the results of overall operations regularly and systematically and report these results to the chief executive officer.
Ensures that the responsibilities, authorities, and accountability of all direct subordinates are defined and understood.
Ensures that all organizational activities and operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree in social work, 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery experience.
or
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science in which
clinical experience is a program requirement, plus 2 years of postgraduate direct service delivery
experience or
bachelor’s degree plus 5 years of clinical employment experience in the behavioral sciences.
Must have supervisory experience and be licensed to provide clinical services in the State where
the care provider is located. (to include but not limited to LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the public. Bilingual is required (English/Spanish)
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office, Paycom, and Electronic Case Management software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Current & in good standing LPC, LMSW, LMFT, or other (if licensed) Valid Texas Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
CPR/First Aid, 15-passenger van, Handle with Care, TBRI, case management software, Paycom, and other DFPS-mandated training (training offered on the job.)
