About Noise Pop Industries

Noise Pop Industries encompasses the live events promotion activities of Noise Pop Presents, the digital advertising business for leading nightlife and entertainment site DoTheBay, all the public-facing events and shows we produce and promote ourselves, from the flagship Noise Pop Festival to the concerts we promote at partner venues around the Bay. NPI also operates WHTLBL, our event services and consulting business which includes all projects produced with or for other parties such as Mill Valley Music Festival, the Cal Academy Nightlife series, and SF Park Alliance’s Sundown Cinema.

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled FP&A Manager to take ownership of financial operations for our event promotion and production company. This is a remote role that will be responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing budgets for various events, and ensuring overall financial stability. Given the nature of our business, this will be a highly collaborative role. The ideal candidate will need to work closely with various team members to serve the needs of the various concurrent projects we work on throughout the year.

Bookkeeping
We are open to candidates who can bring their own experienced bookkeeper or are willing to work with us to hire one, forming a dedicated financial team capable of handling both bookkeeping and controller functions. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully managing and collaborating with financial professionals in high-paced industries like event production.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow for both the company and individual events.
Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to management, event partners, and stakeholders.
Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
Manage company-wide budgets as well as event-specific budgets, offering guidance to event managers and producers on cost control.
Establish and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper tracking of vendor payments and client billing.
Provide financial analysis on event profitability, cash flow, and operational expenses to help optimize decision-making.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including preparing for and managing annual audits.
Develop and refine accounting systems, reporting tools, and processes to accommodate the unique needs of the event production industry.
Lead, mentor, and manage the finance team, ensuring that day-to-day accounting functions are performed accurately and efficiently.
Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and legal teams as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Proven experience as an Accountant or Controller, ideally within the event production, entertainment, or creative industries.
Advanced knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
Strong financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills, with the ability to analyze financial data for multiple concurrent projects.
Experience working cross-functionally with various departments, including production and operations teams.
Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Excel.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
